The Hepco & Becker tanking Basic has been specially developed for the Yamaha FZS 1000 Fazer from 2001 to 2005 motorcycle model. This accessory allows solid and secure attachment of tank bags of the brand to the machine.

Product features

The scope of delivery includes a tanking and a customizable counter holder, which is installed on the tank bag according to the tank shape and the handlebar. The tank lid remains fully accessible even when tanking is attached, which makes use easier.

• Mechanical locking enables easy handling
• The tank backpack is placed on the tankring and audibly rests
• Unlocking takes place via a belt on the front part of the tank bag in the direction of travel
• No general operating license (ABE) or entry in vehicle documents in Germany
• Recommended maximum speed with assembled tank bag: 130 km/h
• Recommended maximum payload: approx. 3 kg

Differences to other tankingen

Compared to the Lock-IT tanking from Hepco & Becker, which also works with magnets for centering, the basic tanking offers a purely mechanical lock. Both tanking models use the same model -specific metal ring, but differ in the type of domes mounted on the ring.

It should be noted that tank bags with a lock-IT counter holder cannot be installed on a basic tanking and vice versa. The compatibility of the counter holder with the tanking must be guaranteed.
