BASIC tank ring for the Aprilia RSV Mille from 1998 to 2008

This BASIC tank ring is intended for the 1998 to 2008 Aprilia RSV Mille. It provides a model-specific mount for a Hepco & Becker tank bag. The black ring is supplied as a complete product together with the matching BASIC retaining plate.

How the tank-bag lock works

When fitted, the bag engages with an audible click via an entirely mechanical lock. To release it, the strap at the front of the tank bag is operated. When attaching it to the bag, the retaining plate can be positioned with regard to the shape of the tank and the steering lock. The fuel filler cap remains usable with the ring fitted.

Information about the BASIC system

The ring can only be used with a BASIC retaining plate; a Lock-it retaining plate does not fit. When installed as intended, neither an ABE nor registration is required. The Aprilia requirements and model-specific information must also be observed.
