The YSS rear mono shock absorber with gas pressure design is intended as a replacement for the rear shock absorber of the Yamaha FJ 1200 (3 YA). The vehicle assignment applies to the entire model year range 1991–1993.

Function and setting options

The damper type is designed as a gas emulsion and is designed for linear, efficient impact absorption. This allows the damper to be tailored to different chassis requirements. Three setting ranges are available for adjustment:

• Spring preload
• Rebound
• Length adjustment
