The MALOSSI gear set is designed for the Vespa PX E 125 in the 1981-1997 model year range. The Z 55/40/37/36 gear ratio enables the gear ratios in the four gears to be adjusted as required. The set differs from the original version and is aimed at applications where variable gearbox tuning is required.

Execution and manufacturing

• The gears are made of specially hardened steel.
• They are manufactured on CNC hobbing machines.
• The contact surfaces are ground and designed for tooth engagement.
• Small depressions on the contact surfaces support the transport of oil and improve the lubrication of the surfaces sliding against each other.
• Where it is structurally possible, relief holes ensure an adapted design. This was omitted in the area between the gear and the gear selector lever so as not to create any breakage points.
