The MALOSSI aluminum cylinder ø 63 pin ø 14 4-stroke is intended for the Vespa LX Primavera 125 in the 2013-2016 model year range. The component is intended as a racing component for use in competitions at designated venues.

The primary aluminum alloy has a high proportion of hardened and tempered silicon. The cylinder liner features a silicon carbide coating in electroplated nickel form as well as cross smoothing with two diamond passes and very limited tolerances. The processing is carried out on numerically controlled precision machines. Cylinders and pistons are matched to one another with a tolerance of 0.05 mm.

Pistons and piston rings

The ultra-compact 3-ring piston is made of a special aluminum alloy with high silicon content, low thermal expansion and tin-plated sliding surfaces. It is weight-reduced and reinforced. The piston rings include a nitrided and chrome-plated steel I-ring, a special cast ring and a three-part wiper ring made of special chrome-plated steel alloy.
