SUZUKI DL 1000 V STROM [2002-2010] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring chain sets new standards in motorcycle technology. Thanks to the revolutionary Z-ring technology, this innovative chain no longer requires regular relubrication, which makes it particularly low-maintenance. Motorcyclists benefit from significant time and cost savings as the usual lubrication every 1,000 km is no longer necessary.

Extensive tests both in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. Another highlight of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings in the field of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) technologies. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The extremely high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction leads to improved performance and longevity of the chain. Eliminating the need for chain cleaning and avoiding lubricant splashes during operation also minimizes environmental impact. These technological advances were made possible by the intensive research and development work of Regina engineers in Italy.
