Comprehensive care kit for canvas, leather and split leather

This kit combines coordinated products for cleaning, caring for and retreating accessories, bags and jackets made of canvas, smooth leather or split leather. The product to use depends on the respective material and the associated application instructions.

Scope of Delivery

• Cotton bag with Unit Garage logo
• Waterproofing spray
• Block of solid wax
• Black or brown color cream, 50 ml
• Soft cleaning brush with wooden handle
• Brush with brass bristles and wooden handle
• Cleaning block, 100 × 60 mm and 8 mm thick
• Microfiber cloth

Waterproofing

The waterproofing spray is intended for accessories, bags and jackets made of leather, canvas or split leather and should be applied regularly.

• Clean the item with warm, clear water if necessary.
• The spray can be used on damp or dry material.
• Shake the bottle and spray the product evenly from a distance of 10 to 15 cm.
• Wipe with a clean, damp cloth to support the effect and reduce waste.
• Allow to dry for 12 hours for optimal results.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Care with Solid Wax

How often the item should be rewaxed depends on use. For regularly used accessories, bags or jackets, the manufacturer recommends resealing at least once a year.

• Remove dirt and sand.
• Clean with a sponge and cold water.
• Do not use soap or cleaning agents.
• Do not machine wash, dry-clean, iron or tumble dry.
• Work in a warm room or outdoors in the sun.
• Place the item to be treated in the sun or near a heat source.
• Apply the wax sparingly using a soft cloth or sponge, paying particular attention to seams and creases.
• Rub in thoroughly and do not use excess wax.
• For an even finish, dry with a hair dryer after waxing.
• Then hang overnight in a warm place.

Color Cream for Smooth Leather

The black or brown color cream is used to cover scratches and scuffs on smooth leather. It must not be used on split leather.

• Clean the area to be treated.
• Massage the cream into the leather using a sponge.
• Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
• Polish with a soft cloth.

Brushes and Cleaning Block

• The soft brush allows for even, scratch-free brushing.
• The brass-bristle brush is intended for polishing and cleaning split leather.
• The cleaning block removes glue and sticky materials from leather or split leather. Rub it over the area with light pressure, then clean with a soft cloth.

Area of Use

The care kit is intended for suitable Unit Garage accessories as well as bags, accessories and clothing made of canvas, leather or split leather. It can be used regardless of the motorcycle model and is therefore also suitable for accessories for the BMW R 1300 GS.
