Complete unpainted RAD kit for the tank and front area

The RAD kit comprehensively redesigns the tank and front area of the BMW R 1200 GS LC or R 1250 GS. Lightweight ABS components, stainless steel parts and CNC-machined aluminum air intakes combine narrower, more tapered styling with targeted radiator and airbox airflow.

Design and Function

• Tank covers for a new look and ergonomics.
• Very lightweight ABS side panels for the redesigned tank area.
• Radiator deflectors direct hot radiator air away from the rider's legs.
• The front element gives the front area a narrower, more tapered appearance.
• Stainless steel side elements influence airflow and increase the air supply at the airbox snorkel.
• The airbox snorkels replace the stock airflow restrictors and, according to the manufacturer, increase performance in the mid-range.

Materials and Details

• Side panels, radiator deflectors, side elements and center cover made of ABS.
• Sandblasted and electropolished stainless steel side protection elements.
• CNC-machined air intakes made from solid Ergal with an anodized finish.
• Laser-cut stainless steel mesh on the aluminum air intakes.
• Lateral “Unit Garage” logo on the air intakes.
• The front element has side mounts for the original R 1200 GS logo.

Installation

The individual fairing parts are prepared for quick installation on the tank covers and frame. Fasteners, rubber components, screws and brackets are included. The original R 1200 GS logo can be transferred from the motorcycle; alternatively, the two pre-cut stickers are available.

Compatibility

• BMW R 1200 GS LC, not Adventure; according to the manufacturer, for model years 2013 to 2019, although this version is designated as the kit from 2017.
• BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS with RAD kit according to the compatibility information.
• The relevant model year of the motorcycle must be taken into account when selecting the kit.
