BENELLI TORNADO 900 [2001-2005] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Clasp sets new standards in motorcycle chain performance and durability. Thanks to its revolutionary technology, this advanced chain no longer requires regular relubrication, which was previously required every 1,000 km. This not only saves time but also maintenance costs.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the durability of the HPE chain is at least as high, if not higher, than that of a conventionally lubricated Z-ring chain. A key feature of this chain is the tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) coating, one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The extremely high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction leads to improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and preventing lubricant splashes during operation helps minimize environmental impact. The innovative ta-C coating technology was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
